Is your country pursuing fusion energy?

Pic related is from the China Academy of Engineering Physics. It is a combined fusion-fission reactor and it will be generating electricity by 2028.

As far as I know, India only has one reactor somewhere in north india at a lab.
We are full deep in fast breeders though, close to completing one

You mean all out industrial espionage?

Why would we?

I resent all scientists who are pursuing anything complicated and far-fetched. Nerds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fusion is a waste of time. Invest in thorium.

Wish you didn't need to join cuck squads to do experiments with these things. The only reason it has taken fusion so long is only government work has the funding to make such elaborate things

Fusion is a meme. Ultra deep geothermal is where it's at.

China will need to steal the tech from someone else to get it to work

That sounds very expensive and difficult. How deep do you have to dig, do we have the ability to dig that deep?

>> No.14865798

>>14865787
>How deep do you have to dig
like 20km
>do we have the ability to dig that deep?
no. several companies are working on it, using megawatts of millimeter waves to melt the rock because conventional abrasive drilling doesnt really work with the heat

Roughly 15,000 feet or approx 3 miles. Not even that bad.

>> No.14865811

>>14865806
What I mean is this is how far you ACTUALLY need to dig. A Finnish utility made one recently at this depth.

it's 65000 feet 12 miles.

no one has ever dug that far. the deepest hole ever made is 12km

Don't know why, there's already plenty of ways for Clean, Free, Unlimited Energy.
