ASI is weird to think about.
If ASI could really make mincemeat of physical law as we know it, you would then wonder what constraints it has. Does it manipulate time by reversing entropy? If multiple dimensions of reality exist, is ASI confined to its dimension? Are we the first advanced civilization or has one existed for some time and did they achieve ASI?

The implications of some of these are mind-boggling. It seems that if an ASI has been built anywhere else, and it does have strange abilities to manipulate time and space, we would know.

Now the temporal one is the weirdest implication. If we are alone, and we can build an ASI at any time in our future, and this ASI has the ability to reverse entropy and effectively time-travel, we should see it. It wouldn't matter if it was built in 5 years or 5 trillion years.

So there's a bit of an AI "Fermi Paradox" out there that seems to limit the ability or feasibility of ASI.
