What's the % of top climatologists and other related scientists who are climate alarmists, and what's the % of skeptics who don't think mankind is the main culprit for climate change.

>> No.14677539

There's some dudes over on youtube, I don't know their credentials but I believe them.

I don't know. How can I know? Do I trust the alarmist sources to tell me that the science is settled and everyone agrees with AGW? Their opposition telling me that loads of scientists question it? Do I go and interview all climate scientists myself? Suppose I choose to do that last thing. How do I pick my scientists? Do I go for the ones who make it to top level positions in government-run institutions? Do I go for the ones who are barred from such positions on account of their being supposed cranks? You people need to get a grip on your mediated reality.

Pick the ones who look hot. They're more trustworthy.

Define alarmist. Anyone who writes things you don't like? Then it's about 97-99%

It's been well documented that Exxon already knew about anthropogenic warming since the late 70s. Even their climate model from the 80's is decently accurate.
Once they knew this, they lobbied and paid for disinformation to deny it.

What I don't get is how deniers like OP claim that the governments fabricate this picture, yet for the past 45 years they have been doing everything they could to ignore the scientists' advice. Why would they do that? Wouldn't it make much more sense if they exploited whatever they fabricated?

Oh yeah, when they said 'entire nations' they meant irrelevant micronations, of course.

Also nobody has responded to OP. What's the % distribution beetween alarmists and skeptics amongst top scientists.

>> No.14682060

>>14682035
What are "top scientists"? If you define it as scientists who've had a canonical impact on the history of science, they're mostly anti-alarmists. If you define it as the most-published and most-cited scientists doing climate science, they're mostly alarmists.
