Is it realistic to get into mechanical engineering in uni if i am a 120iq brainlet

Isn't engineering the consolation for people who got filtered from science? I'd say with 120 you're already feeling surrounded by brainlets in engineering.

If you seriously listen to autists on /sci/ where the average iq is that of a genius(barring the trolls, like me). Your iq is probably lower than that.

120 is already smart, silly.

You can get literally any degree with 120 iq. Consequently, even a doctorate says fairly little about what a person is actually capable of.

Right now half the population of India (mu=85, sigma=15) is holding an engineering degree

>> No.14666385

Yeh.
I am pretty sure I am a brainlet and I got a first class degree with honours with an 82% average from a mediocre uni.
I can go to Oxford or Imperial to do an MSc. Going to Edinburgh instead because it's free.

Bachelor's - yes. You'd be on the higher part of the threshold. ME is considered one of the less demanding engineering disciplines.

If you want to get graduate degrees, or try a harder engineering discipline, a 120 IQ will work only if you're a non Asian or Arab minority, a woman, or (((white))).
