That's all it takes to destroy your telescope. Why didn't you place the JWST in a spot where it could be repaired?

NASA in 1995: can anyone build an 8m IR space telescope by 2007 for $500 million?
Lockmart in 1996: we can do it, heres our conventional enclosed tube with conventional circular, unsegmented optics
NASA: *autistic screeching* muh robo transformer! telescope, muh exotic optics! muh pompidou center inspired open architecture!

NASA in 2022: hey goy, heres your shitty lens flare 6.5m space fagmoble, its 14 years late and it costs $88 billon

For a start where's all the light pollution bouncing off the planet. There's the van Allen belt. The huge amount of man made garbage orbiting the planet. On the flip side LP2 is relatively free of garbage and there's redundancy built into the telescope to take what garbage there is.
Additionally a small rock, by cosmic standards at least, destroyed half of the life on this planet at one point. Worrying about freak space rocks is a waste of time.

>man made
NASA fills space with garbage and then declares that all of humanity is equally responsible for causing the problem.

Sorry. Since when was NASA the old group launching objects into space?

do you think NASA is the ones launching all those commercial sattelites?

because you have a babby level understanding of orbits and the conditions the telescope needs to be in th operate.

Oh. So it's multiple agencies now, not just nasa. That's a clever boy you're learning.
