What is the scientific explanation behind time seemingly moving faster as people get older?

Spacetime is a curved manifold. This implies a non-zero sectional curvature along timelike curves. Curvature means force and force means acceleration. Time is literally accelerating.

Old people typically stop learning.

Try learning every day, you’ll see time goes by more slowly.

The reason is that you’re activating your conscious more. You’re more aware when using your brain and learning.

Old people basically become less aware. They just float by, hardly conscious of anything.

Age is logarithmic. If you’re three years old, one year is a third of your life. If you’re 33 years old one year is only 1/33 of your life.
