He is someone every scientist should look up to as the archetypal scientist and provides a great role model and he was a revolutionary thinker. I just don't think he was quite on the level of those guys. Faraday is immortal but can I put him there with Einstein, Gauss (who contributed to magnetics without even being involved in it too much of an extent), Newton, Schrodinger. If the Catholic Church leaders of the time were faithful in God and understood the Bible they would know God only sends us information we are capable of understanding or meant to understand at the time. That's Cauchy, and Galois is at the bottom. Ramanujan is in C-tier based on pure body of work and genius, but he made atleast some important discoveries as well. I also don't think I included abel.
