Workout and lift heavy in the morning so that you use up some of your energy so that you can sit down and focus. Do breath mindfulness meditation for 10 minutes a day. Read Deep Work by Cal Newport. Go to community college and work hard for a STEM degree.

When I was younger I got diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, OCD, Anxiety, Major Depressive Disorder, etc. I realized these aren't intrinsic traits, but a result of my bad habits, bad home life, and lack of efforts. I can learn social skills. I can learn to focus. I can give up vices. I'm doing quite well for myself now.

The feeling of depression is real, but it being the result of a chemical imbalance is a meme. Read "Anatomy of an Epidemic" by Robert Whitaker. I remember going on hunger strike in inpatient for my release and skipping all food for 6 days, they hooked me up to an IV for dehydration because I was so miserable I forgot to drink. I certainly felt "depressed" but now I feel better because I'm muscular, socially involved, making progress in my career, etc.

Resist temptations. No one will save you, save yourself. Also, fuck all medication. 200 mg of caffeine in the morning (2 small cups of coffee) before your workout is all you need.

Many of them are not interested in employment. The diagnoses also sabotages them and others into thinking that they're unemployable. I doubt 90 % of all schizophrenic are so deranged that they're unable to flip burgers or collect garbage.

You may not like it but psychiatrists did eyeball with the idea of just killing their psychiatric clients. And it technically falls under the term 'treatment' because a dead person is by definition 'cured' of his illness.
