Christian and Islamic moral values were actually given to us by aliens, in an attempt to help us develop and refine our own moral code and put an end to us killing each other so much.

It was a mostly dismal failure.

Do you think we could succeed at creating a moral code on our own, today?

Laws punish you for bad behaviour.

This idea is more like a knight's code of honor.

Oh yes they do.

Especially the more intelligent animals. Or have you never heard of chimps brutally murdering each other, or dolphins raping other dolphins?

All religious morals are from 'Cubic Divinity' - years ago, back when the first religions were created there was no academa - or a very small amount of it. People thought using pure logic, and that's how they came up with 'Cubic Divinity'.

Now things are different. Too much academa clouding our brains from seeing this 'Cubic Divinity'.

Okay, so I didn't think my post too far through. How 'bout this?

Empathy. I don't won't to be raped, robbed, murdered, etc., so I don't do it to other people.

Unfortunately, people are selfish, so it doesn't matter that they can empathize with another person.

And some people don't even have the capacity to feel empathy!

I think perhaps the number one rule for a human moral code would have to be something about dealing with human selfishness.

It almost seems like everything bad about us stems directly from how selfish we are.
