Where does /sci/ think the universe came from?

I believe the universe is an infinite multi-verse that is rapidly branching into more universes.

or in other words

I believe that everything that is physically possible exists whether statistically probable or not. However the statistically probable things will exists in vast abundance over the statistically improbable things. So this is why we find ourselves in a fine tuned universe, yet the universe follows very consistent laws, we exist in a statistically improbable universe yet all the things that happen in our universe are statistically probable.

Correction you BELIEVE the universe follows very consistent laws.

Youre not quite getting my point, the point is that the big bang would have been an extremely improbable event, but we dont really know how long it took to happen, it could of taken like a grahams number of years for it to occur.

Dunno. I don't even know where cigarette filters come from. I don't even know how to change the brake pads on my car. I am pretty sure, though, that even if I knew those things, I still wouldn't be any closer to knowing where the universe came from.

OP here, I agree, I believe my little theory is almost certainly wrong, It just a kind of fun thought experiment. But for me its the most likely thing I can think of. There has to be some kind of explanation, I mean, we are here arent we?
