Hey /sci/, I asked this in /adv/ but no one seems to know anything.
I need some opinions about ADHD meds usage.
Some background info:
I'm a 20 year old female, live a full life, have a wholesome relationship, sophomore at a competitive 4-year university and majoring in computer science.
Come fall its going to be tough as hell for me, math and programming classes all the time. I don't have a natural knack for it and I seem to have to work twice as hard as everyone else to be just average.
Freshman year was the worst thing ever for me, and I'm looking for every little advantage to help me through the next quarters.
I've found two potential sources who can reliably provide me Adderall.
The positives seem awesome, focus and weightloss, but I'd like to hear about some first-hand experience with Adderall.

NOTE: I don't have ADHD or any disorders.

it'll do you well for short-term(a few months) as long as you don't burn yourself out. tolerance is a bitch and a half, keep an eye on the dosages you're using. don't dose heavily and attempt to cram, it will NOT help you learn material faster.

TBH, i'd recommend caffeine over adderall, but that's just me.

I work at an engineering firm and the people that don't have a natural ability are such a pain in the ass to deal with, it isn't our job to hold your hand because your dad wanted a son to work on projects with or if decided you want a computer whiz when you don't have the brain for it.

even worse if you have to be jacked up on amphetamines just to keep up.

Yes. I noticed that last year I've always slacked off during midterms and finals because there's no homework to keep me going.

I believe OP does not have the talent for CS.

I can't be 100% sure, but it doesn't take adderall to study if you have the mental capacity. Not to brag or anything, but as a narcissistic tripfag I was reading electrical engineering texts in my spare time at 14 and 15. I speedread two textbooks in a day and then got a five on AP US History. I had never taken a single history class before.

I've been taking it legally for ADD for.. shit.. a LONG time. 13 years or so.

I've handed it out to friends a few times in the past, They came begging for more the next day. Even people who've never done another drug in their life and don't like to drink or anything. I refused them of course, I'm not that kinda guy.

Point is, drink some coffee and study harder.

Hey everyone. I may have downplayed my ability since a lot of people are harping on me to quit...
I got into the major and it's quite competitive at my school. I don't want to preemptively limit myself by quitting just because I come across a few bumps along the road. After all, it's my education, I'm paying for it, so I want to go for the best I can.
