They don't, not how we do.

>> No.1384042

>> No.1384048

>>1384003
Not exactly. They must have water flowing past their gills in order to keep breathing. There are multiple ways this can be accomplished... swimming is one of those ways.

>>1384032
Fish don't sleep the same way that mammals do.

But no really...half the brain sleeps and then the other half does, keeping them alert and aware all the time, full time fucking up your atfternoon swim machine.

>> No.1384152

So not only are sharks ruthless, efficient, killing machines... they also never sleep.

Clearly sharks are Terminators sent back in time to kill John Conner when he goes swimming. But don't worry, you can rest easy - we've moved Conner to Chicago, far far away from any... John?

JOHN NO! NOT THE SHEDD AQUARIUM! JOHN COME BACK!

No wonder these motherfuckers haven't evolved in millions of years.

Fish and Sea mammal, if they do sleep they sleep a different way. Eg whales turn of half their brain and use the other half to control motion and breathing. As whales need to move to the surface and back under water again. Then it switches and the other half of their brain sleeps.
