So.

I have 40 days to master chemistry (or enough to conduct basic chemistry and biology lab experiments without much aid.)

I know basic HS stuff, but for 2nd year college level (which, through AP and other credits, I'm going into) what level should I be on to do basic research?

Also, I forgot to mention I took 1 year off of any studying to do personal (fucking FINANACIAL) issues.

I have up to 5 hours a day to learn chemistry and biology. If I take an hour off of sleep, 6 hours.

So in total, assuming 10 hours is taken off for emergencies, I have ~200 hours to learn SUPER CHEMISTRY at an organic chem level.

I know I'm only reviewing and learning easy, introductory chem, but, am I fucked, /sci/?

if you want to do research under someone you should just ask all the chem profs. Most of the time they can always use an extra hand (unless you're at a super competitive school)

Wow, bless you child, may your wings come true.

What kind of qualifications are needed? I think I know enough chem halfway into organic chemistry, which I took at community college.

It's a pretty top (USNEWS ranks it top 20, won't say which) school though, so I'm not sure I can compete with more experienced, much smarter students...

sounds like ur on the same boat i am,
i am rising junior in ChE (chem engineering), may need to take up to an extra year because i switched from ME and i smoked alot of pot (hurrr)

is this awesome y/n?

No you are not. Chemistry isn't that hard once you learn the basics of by heart all the rest follows on and doesn't get that much more complex. That been said some people just don't get chemistry so start right fucking now and see if you can get that shit.

yes, obviously pot has chemical substances and is very relevant to chemistry, so you're already experienced in the field!
