Dear /sci/,

Why are the richest and most powerful men of the world religious or hold spiritual beliefs? And what's really the deal with the freemasons?

I figured I'd ask you guys, since you're pretty much on top of knowledge and information -- not even trolling. You guys seem like a smart bunch for the most part.
