Actually not produced anything of worth since the 70's. Probably did harm to the Rationalist movements in the US than good, and his equating religion with 'memes' has been challenged by social scientists across the world.

i have yet to read any good criticism of social scientists. They are to this day mostly relativist who look at culture as irreducibly complex (know this from somewhere?) and inscrutable by natural sciences (again, know this from somewhere?).
