That photo was "taken" 13 BILLION years ago , the universe formed 13-14 BILLION years ago.

You are looking AT between 200-800 Million years AFTER the big bang.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Over 100 + BILLION stars in our galaxy , 6 BILLION + of those stars have orbiting planets

over 1,000 Galaxys in that photo

over 125 BILLION galaxys in the universe.

We are not alone , anyone who thinks otherwise is just an complete idiot.

It makes me sad I will never go to these galaxies because of capitalism. ;_;

>> No.1324914

at least capitalism provides a means
find some kind of way to make money by going into space, we go into space.
you can blame the government for signing treaties banning nuclear (cheap) methods of reaching space.

Would it make you happier if you wouldn't go to these galaxies because of the c-boundary?

Okay. The poor will get poorer, the rich will get richer. I'm not exactly rich. And I'm guessing neither are you. And by rich, I mean 400,000+ a year. Life extension treatment will become available quite soon, but will not be available (read: affordable) to the masses. Just like jetpacks, flying cars, etc.
Besides, capitalism needs 90% of the world to screw in order to work. That means some kid living in a hovel in Sao Paulo could of been the next super-Einstein and made wormhole travel or something. And besides, nobody wants to take monetary risks anymore for fear of losing all their shit. or faithful investors. So no science superstructures for a big while.
