Seriously, geography is the most schizophrenic discipline. Basically it encompasses anything (from very science-heavy environmental geography, to very math-heavy economic geography, to very social-sciency social geography, to historical geography, radical feminist/marxist geography, etc. etc.) as long as you mention how the issue at hand deals with space.

I'm actually considering doing grad work dealing with international intellectual property law, from a geography perspective.

It is. The department at my school, the university of Toronto, was split pretty deeply between the environmental and human geographers, but nonetheless you were encouraged to cross over. I took mostly human geography courses along with a bunch of geographic information systems courses. Pic related, it's a map I made for a side project (the original is 5400x7200 and about 25mb, so this is quite shrunken).

>>1320773
It gives you lot's of choice, that's for sure. But I really appreciated the multi-disciplinary aspect because you really do get to learn about everything from a ton of different perspectives. The only sad thing is that the department is getting hard-pressed to find competent stats teachers. I wanted to take the third year stats course but no one taught it for like 3 years in a row.

I was walking to class the other day and an older neckbeard is in the communal front yard area for his appt. complex drinking a keystone in a can snuggie. He sees me carrying a math book and says to me "stay in school man, it's way worth it, just look at me." and he holds up his beer (this is <9AM). I ask him what he was and he said a geologist. He didn't tell me what industry but I was pretty certain I knew.
