Absolutely not, I have a PhD in natural product synthesis and I post regularly on /ck/, I disagree with people about timings and ingredients, but I can’t cook. Organic chemistry is essentially cooking, you follow the recipe take an ipc during the reaction and at the end you get an analyst to make sure it’s ok. I’ve forgotten most of the nonsense that I studied, as we all have or as we all will.
