Why do CS majors make /sci/ seethe?

am cs major am brainlet, am wishing I didn't try to double major in math, am willing to be codemonkey at this point

They don't respect the mathematical structures that serve as the basis for creativity.

They get to study things that are fun and practical while we just have to memorize formulas named after the people who created them on the off chance that it might be useful for confusing business owners in the papers we get paid to write.

Because I wish I were making bank as a data "scientist" on wall street instead of slaving away for barely above minimum wage as a "real" scientist

Do you think computer scientists hold "data" ""scientists"" in any higher esteem than the rest of us?

>> No.12669562

>>12669543
I was being unironic, I hold them in high esteem because they make bank. The codemonkey who makes peanuts because of muh bootiful algorithms is just as dumb as the labmonkey who makes peanuts because of muh bootiful nature. Science and coding should really only be pursued by people who can't see themselves doing anything else or who have a personal reason to get into the fields. If I manage to reproduce with a modern femoid, I will make my kid a chad who hates science and just bullshits his way into a hight paying data science job.

Not that I regret going into science, I have pretty good personal reasons and I see it as something I have to do, but I'm still pretty jealous of you FAGMAN bros

because most of them are normies that heard about "much 200K starting" and they don't care about math nor do they actually enjoy computer science and or programming in their free time.

Because I'm actually seething.
Majored in EE, over 3.0, can't get a job.
I used to laugh at the idea of liberal arts majors going to college and then working at fast food.
Now I have a bachelor's in fucking electrical engineering and I'm about to be working at McDonald's.

Unless you're above 3.7, you probably won't get a good EE job
