b. biotechnology

this is better than nothing in many ways, which i will not list

instead i will say biotech is better than OPs physics, because we are working towards such lofty goals as biological immortality and transhumanism

Masters Physics with Computer Science.
Learn about the world and spend my single lifetime in constant discovery, wonder and awe at the elegance of the cosmos, not wasting my life taking decisions based on boring shit like money.

Also, OP should keep on the Physics path. The way the subject's taught is a bit stupid, the really wonderful stuff is kept back until later so that GCSE, AS, A Level, etc. is mainly boring equation after equation which put many off. Once you're comfortable with calculus you'll find that you can forget loads of the equations you learned, since you can derive them in seconds. The more you learn, the more of the jigsaw you have, so the fewer clumps of pieces you have to keep track of: it all starts fitting together into a magnificent picture of the Universe.

This is why you attend cheap ass college for two years then transfer to a college that gives you a good rate.

Double in Physics and biology.
Biology; for Marine Biologist. We know more about space than our own fucking water.
Physics; relevant.

Yeah, seriously.

I was going to post, BS in Molecular Biology.. I'm not planning on stopping there either, but, I couldn't quickly think up an argument as to how Mol. Bio by itself is better than Physics + Bio.

Let me think.. Damn, I can't corner anything, because he's just doing generic bio (apparently) which opens a umbrella that covers genetic engineering, medicine, everything I strive to contribute to.

working towards a B.S.N (bachelors in nursing), then a MPH (masters in public health). maybe medical school afterwards. reasons for going into the field are obvious.

as to why it's better i would say because i will help more people directly, although advancements in your field can eventually influence mine down the line.

Funny, interesting and gives you a global view of life itself.

>> No.1265890

>>1265226

I agree partly with his view as well. Money is actually not a big concern (it is right along the same lines of becoming a famous composer--ha!) despite the fact that 95% of people's efforts and ideals revolve around it.

I have a B.A in chemistry and will be doing a B.S in physics next. I don't claim to be able to live under constant revolutionary discoveries, but a general understanding of the known laws of the universe, basic mathematics and the combination of both to model it it's something that I consider very powerful indeed.

If you think about it, life is part of a regular physical phenomena that is not fully explained (we don't know how to start it--yet) yet it will eventually succumb to our understanding by whatever means possible. An analytical framework might be the way to do that and at that physics comes in place.
