Is there anything I can do to combat schizophrenia?

According to that peter goetzche guy from cochrane, it is possible without medication

I have no clue what he suggests though

>The association between urbanicity and risk of schizophrenia is well established. The incidence of schizophrenia has been observed to increase in line with rising levels of urbanicity, as measured in terms of population size or density.
>In this study, we undertook to express the effect of urbanicity on the risk of schizophrenia in a linear form and to perform a meta-analysis of all available evidence.
>Despite the challenges that arise from differences between studies as regards to the number and relative size of urbanicity levels, a linear association was observed between the logarithm of the odds of risk for schizophrenia and urbanicity.
>The risk for schizophrenia at the most urban environment was estimated to be 2.37 times higher than in the most rural environment. The same effect was found when studies measuring the risk for nonaffective psychosis were included.

get out into the country where there are no triggers

That's a really difficult question. I don't have schizophrenia, so I can't say for sure, but I get the impression those medications are particularly nasty for mathematical thinking. Look at other mathematics and physics people who had it and see what they did.

What the FUCK is WRONG with you!? Do you even like math?? You know as well as I do that marijuana OBLITERATES mathematical thinking, and the damage can last for DAYS. I can't imagine how hard it must be to learn you've developed schizophrenia. Stop trying to lobotomize op you fucking psychopath.

Maybe the best thing we could do to fight schizophrenia is clearly define what schizophrenia is.
For the time being, schizophrenia is portmanteau for a broad variety of conditions and symptoms and is diagnosed indiscriminately whenever something seem wrong with someone.
I know that because I was diagnosed schizophrenia when I was merely depressed from the lack of purpose in life and the meaninglessness of our actions in the grand scheme of things.

I didn't advise him to do it. I just said something I heard related to the topic.

is this schizophrenia?
I don't 'think' at all. When I am suppose to think about something (ie. taking a test), voices tell me the answer.

Depression doesn't give you hallucinations or makes your speech disorganized.

What type of voices? If you're solving a math equation, do you hear yourself speak in your head or is it Kramer from Seinfeld?
Also, do the voices remain in your head or do you really hear them?

i can recognise my own 'inner voice', ie. the one i hear when i read but there are other distinct voices I hear that requires no conscious effort on my part (so i know im not just parroting in my head) and they're basically always there.

you must read pretty slow, not even the micro machines man could narrate my books

Yeah sadly. You don't subvocalise? I'm trying to improve my reading speed but I just don't seem to process the information without sounding it out in my head first. I know some people can just understand everything at a glance.
