Either present the ideas & thought process you have, along with the data that you based them on, where said data can be found, or reference data that is widely already known.

I can see where the misconception on the right-side of your image can come from. Brainlets might see people whom have vastly more knowledge & intelect than them, make hypothesis, and see it as some magical guess-work. But in actuality, those experts are drawing from vastly more knowledge, and might not mention plenty of trivial facts they know/assume their peers already know.

Apparently you should get some better instincts as your knowledge of history is laughable. Ironically the Tobacco industry strategy was to do the exact same thing as you're doing now.

>By the early 1950s, the emerging science on tobacco's harms documented in the elite peer-reviewed literature, especially the causal linkage to lung cancer, threatened to undo more than a half century of unprecedented corporate success. With considerable anxiety and rancor within the tobacco industry, the industry's highly competitive CEOs came together in December 1953 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City to map a strategy. They realized that the threat they now faced was unprecedented and would require new, collaborative approaches and expertise. Not surprisingly, given their history, they turned again to the field of public relations that had served them so well in the past. They called upon John W. Hill, the president of the nation's leading public relations firm, Hill & Knowlton.
>Hill argued, they should declare the positive value of scientific skepticism of science itself. Knowledge, Hill understood, was hard won and uncertain, and there would always be skeptics. What better strategy than to identify, solicit, support, and amplify the views of skeptics of the causal relationship between smoking and disease? Moreover, the liberal disbursement of tobacco industry research funding to academic scientists could draw new skeptics into the fold. The goal, according to Hill, would be to build and broadcast a major scientific controversy. The public must get the message that the issue of the health effects of smoking remains an open question. Doubt, uncertainty, and the truism that there is more to know would become the industry's collective new mantra.

And that isn't to say you shouldn't become an expert yourself. Just there isn't really an in-between, If you really have the time and ability, go ahead and become an expert, but until you're actually capable of doing your own experiments and submitting papers for peer review detailing your findings. You should really just shut the fuck up and listen to those who actually know what they're talking about. Because reading a random blog and some unsourced info-graphic you got from facebook isn't actually being an expert or "doing your own research"

>> No.12564029

I 100% agree. And to add there’s no real way to determine if you’re an expert or trustworthy in your field unless you subject yourself to scrutiny by your colleagues in that field but people don’t have access to that consortium of peers unless they enter academia into the first place. Which they obviously cannot do for each and every subject. At most 3 subjects nowadays but with increasing specialization and subspecialization it’s better to just have a cursory understanding of your field overall and an in-depth understanding your particular subject of interest

Myopics actually become less myopic with aging due to presbyopia.
It seems you don’t know what presbyopia is so I’ll give a brief rundown. It’s when the lens loses elasticity and as a result loses the ability to accommodate near vision as well as before. This occurs with aging causing the crystallin proteins in the lens to stiffen and become insoluble because there is no protein turnover in the lens.

Yet it is considered to be incredibly complex by those who try to waste time analyzing every sentence. No it is not. You familiarize yourself with it, slowly but surely.

It is much the same with science.
Specialists try to make it far more complex by devising their own realities, so they can sell books. They often have trouble saying simple things so they employ all sort of jargons.

Raul Hilberg, the number one accredited historian who defended the gaz chamber thesis, ended up saying the following:"There was no plans, no budget, no witnesses, nothing. The extermination of jews took place thanks to an incredible meeting of mind, a consensus of spirits."

What he meant is that since there was no plan or budget for such a mass gazing, he could only explain it by theorizing mind reading.

Germany could have killed those jews IF they were able to read each other mind, to understand exactly just by looking at one another how to gaz the wicked jews!

Hence no plans nor orders nor budget have been found in order to carry out such a mass murder.

As the lens of the eye hardens as we age (the predecessor of frank cataracts) it changes the way light is "bent" as it enters the eye much the way different prescriptions in a pair of glasses do. So if you were hyperopic (needed plus correction) and you start developing pre-cataract changes, your vision may temporarily go through a phase where either the near or distance vision gets better. Unfortunately as you continue to age, this process will make your overall vision worse and you will need cataract surgery.

It happens when you use your eyes at close range. Pseudo myopia can easily be treated by looking afar and reducing close up time.

Then once you start wearing glasses, it
devolves into lens induced myopia. This one takes years to get out of, and requires you to reduce your prescription.

Note, however, that the spiritual sense of a sentence, the true meaning of something can take a lifetime before being understood, unlike the literal sense of a sentence.

Midwits care about the literal, the rest about the spiritual.

Take, for example, the following sentence: "Your wives are your tilth; go, then, unto your tilth as you may desire, but first provide something for your souls, and remain conscious of God, and know that you are destined to meet Him. And give glad tidings unto those who believe"

Now the literal sense of such a thing would make midwits scream. WHAT THE HELL! How could a woman be a laboring field!

The spiritual man/the "genius" understands giving attention, care, introducing your beastie inside a woman means making use of her and giving her life meaning.

The provide for your souls, and remain conscious of God part means loving(which is very different from lusting) your wife, give the love from God to her.
