He is actually kind of right. If you're incredibly intelligent, you should be able to figure out why letting your employers find out the limit of your abilities is a bad idea.
If for some reason you are forced to take the test and nothing you say can get you out of it, as a last resort try saying you don't want to take a test with racist origins designed to delegitimize minorities, and that should get any employer off of your back.
