Have any of you played around with the pineal gland of a subject?

What do you want to know?

>> No.12462376

Well...anything, I guess
It seems like such an important region of the brain, but is shrouded in mysticism

Is there understanding of when it's, say, "active"? Or "acting" more? What conditions cause it to be more active, and what conditions cause it to be less?

mysticism around it is bullshit. Its functions could be said to be interesting.

sure, either way, there's a lot of commentary around the subject, but i don't find much about it directly

how do we "strengthen" this part of the brain?

it's not mysticism it's be able to record brain singles and the process them, so to start the electrodes we use to study the brain only go so deep, if we were to try and pull 100% of brain signals there'd be so many wires going into you you'd have a seizure for sure, and second the amoutn of people being studies is so small that deep learning programs aren't getting enough data to actually interpret the few signals they do get in enough meaningful data to allow ourselves to claim we 'cracked' the brain code we've so long worked towards

with regards to mysticism i just meant culturally and through "religions"

so do we know how to stimulate the pineal gland or no?

I've studied the brain for my undergrad and masters. I've also been on 4chan to know the pineal gland is one of /x/-schizos interests.
I'm not interested in spoonfeeding a schizo, so i'll just say:
1) go to google scholar
2) search "pineal gland review"
3) go to the year option and select "since 2016" (or some other recent year)
4) if you don't have access to some paper use sci-hub.st

This looks like an interesting paper.
It seems some people are born without a pineal gland. So you can use this to debunk your schizo /x/-shit if you like
