I usually just laugh at them and change the conversation because I dont really want to talk about it. I absolutely know that Im better than my friends in engineering, and when it comes to my friends in computer science its like Im a different species than them. But the thing is, I feel a bit insecure when it comes to my physics friends. Thankfully many of them tell me how difficult proofs are which makes me feel a little better. But I just am not sure if I am actually better than them. I dont know how hard physics is compared to math and so I dont really know how to treat my friends in physics. So what do you guys think?

I'm a physicist and I've never heard my peers say this. The math physicists use (especially experimentalists) will make a mathematician laugh. It's also a common historical phenomenon that physicists start rediscovering math that was there for centuries, because they weren't aware of it.

I think OP is a lonely person and pretends he has friends and this is what they tell him.

Hi OP, Happy holidays! Hope you have a nice day and a nicer winter! Don't let the pretended friends get to you

kek. OP, if you're really lonely then I hope find some friends soon. Things like
>Thankfully many of them tell me how difficult proofs are which makes me feel a little better. But I just am not sure if I am actually better than them.
tell me you're insecure. You should never compare yourself to others. That gets you nowhere in life.

they're both hard in different ways. In maths the hardest things to do are well thought out direct proofs or ungodly counterexamples while in physics you have to deal with picking and choosing which assumptions will make a problem easier or just deal with and make a well thought out argument based on them, much like a mathematician would. The key difference is that more often than not, mathematicians deal in abstracts so while they may be able to prove fubini's theorem, they may only take a look at some easy and elegant examples of its use while physicists have to deal with both constructing the framework to use the theorem and solve the not so trivial integrals.

They're both hard in their own way

Treat them like friends. What kind of question is this?

There are no two humans alive with the exact some knowledge and capability. Stop being such an arrogant faggot, because sooner or later you wont have any "friends" left.

Bio-Chem is arguably more complex than all three of those combined.
