We're all getting physically older all the time.
But what's a way not to become old mentally? And I don't mean memory and thinking capcity - I mean becoming a boomer, someone nobody really wants to be around. Someone who's only friends with their wives. Some old mathematician who writes blog posts like John Baez. Somebody who's life is over.
How to avoid?

There are important societal reasons that lead to old people behaving like that. You don't get it yet, but you will eventually. It's kinda sad but it is how it is. Think of the opposite. Imagine how sad it is for say a 50 year old woman partying carelessly like she's 16. She isn't 16.

Explain.

I'm not sure if I know any person over 50 I'd want to be. And not because I'm too young to understand their life and goals, it just seems to get objectively worse.

People get called boomer because they are rejecting modern trends for the trends that were around in their time and arbitrarily calling them superior. You must jump onto every trend that is mainstream or you will be a mental boomer.

It happens because older people stop hanging around young people who invent most of the trends. So you somehow need to keep a young social circle.
