Why the fuck 30% of applicants to MSc internships are PhD holders ????
how the fuck can you have a PhD and apply for an internship for MSc students ???
as if we didn't have enough competition, what the fuck

Leave the labor market, sell a product or service. Stop selling your labor. Move to cheap towns, buy cheap quality products from unknown brands with no marketing budget.

Are you stupid? You sell yourself as an overeducated genius in one line and then go say "im useless lol".

Bro, I didn't sell myself as an overeducated genius and didn't say I'm useless.

I'm wondering why the fuck a guy with PhD would apply for an internship that was made for MSc students, the job market is already clogged with last year's MSc holders thanks to 'Rona.
It's a nightmare trying to get accepted into a good internship

I dont even know what biophysics is. Listen, like i once told a biologist: You can always make cheese. There's obviously a lot of money in biological fields, medicine, agriculture, pharma, food processing, etc. But lets start with the basics: Can you make cheese? Like mozzarella? Are you telling me you would find cheesemaking challenging? Lol what a retard, you are like a Michelin chef that can't boil potatoes.

Don't care, Academy is not the only job you can have. Go to industry i guess, get experience, save money for 5 years and start your own company. Anything you do in industry will be geared towards a product or service, you are not so different from a cobbler making shoes.

Go ask for a job at Charles River or Pfizer or Monsanto or wagecuck some years at the quality control lab of some Kraft cheese plant or get into some start up, every year thousands of random startups are funded and there are lists of them. They recruit scientists. 99% get nowhere but its work and then you move onto other companies

>Go to industry i guess
I've applied to research internships and also engineering industry internships, same shit in both shit tons of competition the job market is literally clogged.

I'm really thinking about skipping this year and doing another MSc next year in something closer to Chemistry.
This year and last one is a nightmare for people who are trying to get a first job or an internship

Its not so hard at startups or small companies. Everyone send cvs to the famous companies.
https://www.naics.com/search/
I got my job by looking at a government list of startups, my current company didnt even had a website or a sign at the door, you have to know the companies in order to apply. The link i provided has list of tens of millions of companies, some info is public other they sell. You could get a list of tens of thousands of research labs to apply for jobs and competition wont be as bad because no one knows them. Marketers use these lists to get suppliers or look for customers, almost no one works at boeing or ford or Pfizer or Intel

>first year software engineer uni
>applied to an intern for MSc
>got the job
>they actually appreciate my work

you're not good enough and you're not competitive enough. Make side project and find what you love. They put MSc because they search a specific person with a specific niche interest

>> No.12416820

on a side note, if they ever ask you why did you apply: "I love studying x field in my free time and you seem to do x"
If they ask you what are you going to do if you're not taken: "I don't apply for intern to much, just for things related to x because it's what i love in this field. I want to gain experience for x field, so I rather take more classes and try next semester"
