Since we are such space travel averse cucks, wouldn't the easiest way to find life elsewhere be building a large enough earth based telescope that could resolve surface features such as jungles and cities in exoplanets?

We can skip the whole spending trillions to in maybe 40 years finding a bacteria fossil on Mars that might have actually originated in earth part to straight up confirming Ayys in a decade.
