Mine is Overleaf, used Kile and texmaker for a while, texmaker is bland AF, while Kile doesn't show error logs properly. Also there are issues with packages for both of them, which aren't there on Overleaf.

I use spacemacs: a combination of vim and emacs, and I've been thinking of moving to doom (a similar project to spacemacs)

>vi
no, you mean vim. distros don't come with vi, at most they come with a minimal build of vim.
>hurr durr vim better because its preinstalled more often than emacs
sci-tier reasoning. do you not own your own machine?

>> No.12365457

>>12365039
>minimal build of vim
Configured to behave like vi without any of the Vi "IMproved" features

You have to install vim to actually get vim

>preinstalled more often than emacs
Not preinstalled more. Preinstalled on literally every unix conforming system. You will never not have vi.

bloated as fuck, if I wanted a bloaded IDE I would use TeXStudio or something like that.
