You hear a lot about beetles and fungus infections but you never seem to hear about plants getting a cold. They don't have white blood cells either. But their nucleus looks just as good as any other for turning into virus factories. What gives?

Prokaryotes obviously don't have white blood cells and yet bacteriophages are some of the most common "organisms" on earth.
