any good systems to generate unique symbols given some arbitrary input? I want to know if others in the past had tried to generate some sort of alphabet from a set of simple rules

german enigma machine?
the field of cryptography?

I didnt mean ciphers, i meant generating a unique symbol that doesnt conform to standard alphabets. More like an algorithm to draw some lines given some input

ah the schizophrenia approach
sounds like Stephen Wolfram meets Terry A. Davis

are you so creatively bankrupt you can't even begin to answer your own question?

>> No.12225196

>>12225169
No, i have come up with my own solutions, but they lack certain qualities i am looking for. So i might as well not reinvent the wheel and expand upon previous iterations of the same thing that might posses insight i might have not used

Everyone does everything wrong, i need to reinvent my own basis of thought and abstractions in order to enforce the virtues of uniformity and simplicity in a baseless reality for that is the only viable purpose of intelligent beings in that we are thrown in a baseless reality to create order from nothing. The need to create frames of reference causes me to think of alternative overarching systems to use in terms of everything and counteract oppressive forces of randomness and abitraryness. First begins with the use of symbols to define all things as it is the most powerful known way of expression, alternatives being things such as thinking in terms of literal visual situations which is limited seeing as there is no means to abstract beyond the use of implication

this is a rough idea of the purpose i am looking for, next comes the bible of abstract superiority which will lay the basis of all things from language to cpu architectures to proper behaviour

>>12225118
Davis was partially correct, wolfram is partially correct. I will achieve superiority over abstractions

Ever read about I Ching?
Ever seen what's on the Voyager disc?

>> No.12225309

>>12225286
I have considered the voyager disks, however I Ching is unfamiliar to me. if you have relevant context then that would be useful to me, however i will now extensively research this to measure validity of the source and my ideas conpared to them

Like the Korean writing system Hangul?

>> No.12227209

>>12227139
yeah sort of like that, but I would prefer one that isnt really oriented toward language and can be defined more simply than that system

>> No.12227478

>>12225064
My first thought would be to do this with some sort of cellular automata, make like a grid of pixels and and seed it with various initial strokes/patterns. Then you would need to define some set of rules as to how the symbol grows out from an initial stroke.

Yes i did something similar with directed arrows, i also did one which sort of combined md5 sums to determine the edges of some graph. But i am more looking for books and papers of people who attempted the same thing

*used
not "combined"
