My physics professor (Cardiff University) is uploading all his lecture stuff onto YouTube, thought some of you may be interested in watching idk:

He looks like he posts on 4chan.

I've been kinda interested learning QM beyond my pop-sci understanding so this is pretty nice, thanks dude.

no worries :) quite nice of him to upload it all to youtube desu

Neat!

There's also this from MIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZ3bPUKo5zc&list=PLUl4u3cNGP61-9PEhRognw5vryrSEVLPr

I glossed over the uploads. Looks like a modern physics class rather than a true QM class.

How is Cardiff University? I'm thinking of going there for a masters either in maths or computing(with placement year).

I'm coming from Warwick University though and found the maths msc a bit underwhelming because of its lack of pure subjects

Same here, but for mechanical engineering.
Yo, OP, tell us.

The accent is hard to understand, are there any subtitles? Am Australian.

wtf based professor, nice of him to actually put in some effort in online lectures unlike most of mine.

liked his slaps on the board, albeit became a bit annoying after a while lmao

Yawn why the fuck do unis even need to make more of their own videos? Just give your fucking students Sakurai, come up with some problems (steal from thousands of other books that don't have solutions manuals), and there you fucking go a quantum mechanics course.

Need video lectures because you're a dumb nigger? Well there's a trillion of those too, pick one. Why in the rotted raped cunt fuck do you need to make your own videos anymore? Fuck universities and FUCK professors.

Sorry hadn't been checking the thread.
Yeah it's been really good so far. Would definitely recommend. Welsh people are pretty nice people all in all and everything is pretty close together. There's also plenty to do, lots of social stuff to do. I was a bit of a shut in before going to uni but now I go to the pub and clubs and shit like a normie (before corona), it's actually pretty fun once you find some like-minded people. Although this may be harder than before.
Sorry for the reddit-tier post but that's my honest thoughts.

Also the halls can be a bit rough around the edges (especially sengeneth [can't quite remember how to spell it lol, welsh name] and colum hall). I stayed in Talybont South in first year and it was pretty standard. There's usually about 6-8 in a flat with a roughly equal gender split usually, so you should find someone at least slightly like-minded or that you get on with in ur flat.

But you get the degree because you have the knowledge. Watch at some point in the next decade education is going to explode and correct it's insanity by allowing people to get accredited by easier and cheaper means.

Could you set me straight on this:
>>12206298

I know I was probably off in that you can't really do it that way because if you detect photons you can't make any pattern on the screen (is that right?) But can you think of anyway to make the dcqe more... uh.. pornographic.

>> No.12214974

>>12214954
I just need to know this key piece of information:

Are all the animations and demos depicting the detectors as machines measuring the slot directly simplified bullshit? Are you not able to make ANY pattern on the screen if you put a machine that detects photons after or before the slit? Do you HAVE to use entangled pairs and coincidence counters to detect it while keeping the patterns?
