It's statistically significant difference for African Americans. Although for violent crimes (manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault) , it is not statistically significant. You can interpret this along with many different scientists and talk about red lining, wealth inequality, systemic racism, and other productive points that can bring about positive change or you can view it with a prejudice and tribal lens and assume this is something inherent in the demographic and do nothing about it.
