Up until that point I lived my whole life in an IQ bubble. It was pretty eye opening realizing how dumb the average person is. The world makes so much more sense to me now.

A reminder that around 0.1% of the world population work as scientists. That means that (if IQ is objective measure and if you need to be clever to be a scientist), having 150 IQ is necessary prerequisite to be even the pretty shitty scientist. If we are talking about really successful scientists, then you get closer to 170 IQ. If you are a 120-130 retard, forget about achieving anything in /sci/ence.

Is that really correct? How many people have exactly a 100 IQ? It can't be an infinitesimal quantity due to the lack of resolution on IQ measurements. Since 100 is a three digit number, people at exactly 100 throw things off to where slightly less than one in two people have a two digit IQ and slightly more than one in two people have three digit IQs.

No, more like 145, and also creativity is very relevant here, that is just being intelligent isn't enough, you need to also have novel ideas, and some of these people with novel ideas will have sub 145 IQs and be better scientists than 170IQ robots who only know how to do math very quickly with few mistakes. IQ stops being a significant predictor of life success past about 120, and there is also a certain upper limit where the social disconnect is even an impediment, and someone with a 170 IQ would definitely be affected by this. The 130–160 range is ideal—above midwit but still capable of relating to and working with other people.
