I unironically went into neuroscience because of Kurisu. Almost fell for the PhD meme but I realized how stupid it was and dropped that shit and went for medical school instead. Probably the only decision in my life that I don't regret.

I didn't dislike her but she's such a cartoonish and unrealistic archetype designed to play to people's fantasies, so it's pretty dumb. That's one of the many issues with most anime. Especially the female characters, probably from most writers being men, but a lot of the male characters too.

Fiction TV/movie writing is one of the areas where it's genuinely warranted to get some diversity on the writing staff. (Imagine a show with 100% female writing staff and a bunch of male characters.)
