I say and do stupid shit. Sometimes I realize what I did and I wonder why i did what I did.

Well this is it, nothing more to say.

Because natural selection doesn't always select for intelligence

if you frequently realize stupidity afterwards, it may be that your problem is weak cognitive bias mitigation, and not low IQ.
However, it is probably both.

If intelligence was preferred by natural selection society would progress much faster, of course you could argue that modern society eliminates natural selection from the equation.

But humans for a long time even before civilization didn't do much in terms of discoveries and inventions.

Then again you could yes that capitalism gives and economic incentives for smartness but the richest people aren't math wizards or physicists...

So we can rule out science smart, its mostly about street smarts that rules the world.

I think every man is smart or would do great in a certain area but we society doesn't work in that way where you improve yourself it is a plain demand and supply world.

you don't know what you're talking about lol. it's always so fucking funny watching retards that have no grasp on quantitative genetics and population dynamics pretend to understand what selection is. you can experience selection within a single organism, even cell lines are subject to selection, chemical species can be subject to selection.
