It's not B, as you can get there either crawling on top, or side surface. The top would be longer (sqrt of 10, if you were bound to use top way, while the side walk would be just sqrt of 8).
In my mind, one needs to find the point on the top surface, where it doesn't matter which way you approach it.

>Flipping one coin will magically change the probability of another seperate coin flip

>> No.12079570

>>12076578
Each coin is 1:2
Together it’s 1:3
It depends on what you’re specifically asking. The odds of flipping 2 coins and landing any certain way is 1:3 because you have 3 possible outcomes. If you ignore the first coin it’s 1:2 odds because there are only two ways a coin can land.

The question is ambiguous. If "at least one is heads" refers to a specific coin then it's 1/2. If it refers to the total state of the two coins then it's 1/3.

For example, if your friend only looked at one coin and told you it's heads then you know "at least one coin is heads" and the other coin has a 1/2 chance of being heads. If your friend saw both coins and told you the total number of heads is greater than 0 then you know "at least one coin is heads" and the chance both are heads is 1/3 since there are three equally likely states the coins could be in: HH, HT, TH.
