Is calc just a lot of practice? I'm in calc 2 right now and not understanding much after being forced to take the majority of calc 1 online last semester

you got it fren)

Have you done any proofs

my calc 1 teacher was a grad student so he made us do proofs for stuff like derivative of sin

Ok but you haven't done things like epsilon delta proofs for limits or defining the riemann integral with Upper and Lower sums?

I need to know how theory heavy your class is before giving any solid advice because if I tell you to live and breathe the triangle inequality you're just going to waste time better spent studying up on trig identities

I'm taking ODE and am in a similar situation. I feel like I suck at calculus, and I barely passed calc 2.

No, it sounds like you lack an understanding of a prerequisite concept to whatever you are trying to do.

kek I did that, was just following the textbook though

this was literally just a basic university calc 1 course

All math is a lot of practice. Get a textbook with answers to odd-numbered questions in the back and drill em

You don't need to practice at all to understand it, you need to practice in order to execute it in various contexts. If you're struggling with calc 2 then I think Compsci is probably your stem path

>> No.12068726

people saying you’re dumb ITT are faggots. a lot of undergrad math is still just applying algorithms, and especially in early calc 2, you’ll be able to apply them more quickly with additional practice

What are you learning in calc 2 right now?

>> No.12068887

we just started last monday, so it's mostly just a review of integrals and doing integration by parts
