What's the deal with vasovagal syncope /med/? Is it just an evolutionary fuck up of the fight or flight response? Am I basically the human equivalent of a fainting goat if I have it?
Why am I fine when I accidentally slice myself open with tools but getting a finger prick makes me pass out if I stand up?

Is anybody here good with biohacking or can point me to a community that isn't horrible. Biohack.me seems horrible and youtubers don't post enough updates on old projects for me to like them. I asked in the /sqt/ but the above is what I got.

I just want to know if you could somehow genetically modify yourself/a muscle (not the penis lol) to increase in length. For example. I am tongue-tied and the only option is surgery which will give me more flexibility but little to no increase in length at all, however I wish to get into gene modding in order to increase the length of it to a stable, measurable, degree, won't cause cancer and has little to no effect on lifespan.

How many others have been offset in life by loans and admission technicalities? I'm behind about 7 years because of them and am approaching 30. There isn't much recourse if you are poor and cannot obtain private loans, and being in default at times prevents reapplication with FAFSA. I would have never had this protracted of a process if a few prereqs would have been overlooked. I've since recovered from my poverty but even then, private loans and so on require a cosigner and that's just for the prereqs alone. Sure there are a few schools where they are not required but I've done the calculations. I could not afford relocation. It seems deliberately structured to screw people over who have either had a rough patch in life or decided to become a physician at a much later point.

Weird question guys but it's playing on my mind. How does the human body detect weight? Lets say I pick up a heavy bag of shopping: what sensors are detecting this weight and how do they do it? Lets also say that I have a much weaker left arm compared to the right one, if I pick up the same weight in both arms, how is it possible that the left one feels heavier? If it is that the smaller amount of muscle means more mass is being placed on each fiber, yet again how is this detected? And what about soreness after lifting weights for a long time? Is this a seperate sense?

It just occured to me that I've never been taught anything about this and I also couldn't find anything about it online.

Muscles don't know about weight, they know about resistance and fatigue. The receptors that code it are the tendinous organs of Golgi, the terminals of Ruffini, the corpusculae of Pacini and the neuromuscular strains.
Fatigue is related to the muscle's oxidative and metabolic processes, strength however is a neuromuscular adaptation; this explains why trained powerlifters with low bw can lift more weight than untrained individuals and culturists with similar weight.
This also explains why advanced and intermediate powerlifters have to also train hypertrophy.
Strength is a measure that varies according to an individual's training, this is why whenever I shake the hand of a clinical branch specialist they feel like shame and fear.

Basically because consultants (senior doctors) can just give their jobs list to junior doctors (just graduated) half an hour before the end of their shift. This results in the consultants getting to go home 30 minutes early and the junior doctors having to pick up their 3-5 hours of slack performing menial tasks way beyond their shift with no overtime payment. Nothing changes as the juniors then become regs and subsequently consultants and end up acting the same way because they got through it and now feel entitled to their easy older years.

Easiest ways to control weight
1. Stop sugar (NB; there is a lot of added sugar in processed foods, so the safer bet is just to eliminate processed foods)
2. Stop snacking (only 2-3 meals a day within a maximum 12 hour window)
Promoting insulin resistance by ingesting sucrose + promoting hyperinsulinemia with snacking puts your body into an anabolic state, primarily signalling for the synthesis and storage of fat as adipose tissue. Since you put your body in an anabolic state, the calories you expend by just existing decreases so as to conserve fat mass and your hunger increases so that your calorie intake increases (to promote fat anabolism). All of this is known endocrinology and is not disputable. Once you understand the regulators of body-weight, the solution to obesity becomes clear.

He's at an hour and 49 minutes, and his mediafire link is in the description

https://legislature.vermont.gov/committee/document/2020/25/Date/4-29-2019
He's the first name on this list, and the link goes directly to his mediafire.

The cell tower he always posts pictures of is located at 645 bridgman hill road in Hardwick Vermont, and it's clearly visible from streetview

I also have some documentation of he and his mom schizoposting about 5G IRL on other occasions that I can post in a bit

Do you have a scoliosis, and is your cervical spine overly straight (no curve) or generally bent (an S curve, and arc, etc)? Do you have forward head carriage? (Google it) Have you had any imaging done to rule out Chiari malformation etc? Do you have any autonomic issues (blood pressure, heart rate, digestion, dizziness on standing). Lastly, does this dizziness present as nystagmus, weakness in the knees, visual changes, etc?

It sound slike you have compression or tugging on the brainstem, or maybe a pinched nerve in the cervical region. Often times you can't have low back issues without having general spine issues.

L1 anterior wedge fracture is the primary issue, there's nothing else as far as I'm aware
Blood pressure is slightly higher than the average because I'm a tense person, none of the other symptoms there apply
Dizziness is just present at the same time as lumbar muscle weakness, weak feeling knees and fatigue, although mobility is never affected and I can still feel everything

Makes you wonder how many people have or will die because they can't be checked.

hey /med/ I'm getting some weird neck muscle pain I haven't really had before. 90% of my range of motion is fine but the last 5% of fully extending my neck anterior/posterior causes tenderness/pain in two muscles at the back of my neck flanking my spine.
Shit's weird, I don't remember doing anything unusual with my neck or holding it in a weird position. I worked out on Monday but it was a completely normal workout with no issues.
This is the second day now with my neck being like this, wtf?
