Dude, I go to UoT. It's shit. I know that Waterloo has us beat for engineering, architecture, urban planning, and probably any other area they offer co-ops in. We're probably better for medicine, science, and humanities, though. But the chart doesn't even say what it's measuring (and, as I and others have pointed out, has schools that are almost exclusively humanities-based).

Now, im in the life sciences, and theres a TON of papers from University of Chicago... in my opinion thats the best university in the world. at least for life sciences.. Berkeley is pretty good too. i dont understand your post.. is that what u believe or is what you THINK i believe?...

Anyhow, i never ever mention homework dumbass nor the college workload. thats retarded. Im saying that, in my experience, relevant papers dont come from ivy league universities or any other 40k+/year university. At least, they arent as prolific as they should, with the endowments they receive and the crazy tuition they charge. (except University of Chicago). Many cheaper larger universities (Public Ivies) have really amazing graduate programs. and they have a really nice faculty in most of the cases, public ivies are way ahead in some fields compared to US universities in Ops list.

This ranking bullshit, seems as an excuse to pay the crazy amount of tuition and be in debt for life.

Now the only good thing that comes from this universities, are contacts. If you are planning into going into business/politics/law, Yeah sure go for it, but since this is a science board, and presumably most of you guys are going into sciences. you are going to be in debt for the rest of your lives after you graduate. And im not counting Grad school here, which is a must for a science career.
