>tfw brother 17, male tested 140 IQ recently and also neuro-evaluated by the same psychologist.
I'm at a loss of words. 140 IQ is extraordinarily rare, the psychologist estimates it at around 1% of all people have this IQ or higher. My brother could be the next Einstein however he doesn't even like science. In fact, he wants to live an ordinary life working at a gas station in New York. He doesn't want to go to college as far as I'm aware and wants to move out of the house by age 18.

How do I convince a genius to like science, /sci/?

iq is a pseudoscience
intelligence cannot be directly linked to the ability to recognize patterns

Based and checked.

IQ is a meme, but I do recommend encouraging your lil bro to study. Gas station jobs are not exactly a road to the middle/upper class.

Einstein is sometimes called the cleverest man who ever existed, and he is certainly in top 100. So you need not 1/100 chance for that, but 1/billion.
Meanwhile researchers make around 0.1% of the world. That means that if you are in top 0.1%, you are just meh.

Implant a fake memory that is plausible and flattering which pushes hom in that direction. Make it plausible he would forget it, and also make him want to believe it was true. Best chance is early childhood, say he did something when he was 4.

Sorry to dublepost but what I mean by implant is just talk to him and pretend that this thing actually happened. The contents depend on your family, location and general upbringing

also given how shitty academia is nowadays, your brother's is probably a good decision

Always thought of it as a rough outline. Like you have the possible potential for an easier time being a genius but that alone doesn't make you smart.

>> No.12020390

>>12020389
correct but how do you work with rough outlines? there's no point in doing so, since people can cheese it from both ends

80 million. Germany is that size.
Are you at loss of words if you meet a person from Germany?

Perspective maybe? If you know you have a low iq then when you struggle you know it's not because you're just fucked but because you'll need to either put more effort in or find which area your mind works best.

>140 IQ
>wants to live an ordinary life working at a gas station

fake or he lucked out in the test and is a complete ignorant retard.

Even if he was lazy, life is rough if you don't have money and boring if you don't do anything challenging
