/sci is one of the most impressive high-iq societies in existence of the internet, when considering posted scores, and volume of discussion.

Yet, nearly every post in the catalog consists of the formula; "triggering 'bait' title+picture leading in to polarizing discussion"...

Logically, bait discussion topics may contain emotional, irrational responses.

What is puzzling, is that our high-IQ members' irrational behavior is rarely if ever attenuated. Competence and data are rarely if ever considered, in spite of intelligence and education of our society. Popular side-topics without the 'bait' formula are almost never created.

I find this behavior interesting and a bit unexpected.

Why doesn't sci's high-IQ correlate to rational discussion??

This board is filled with confused kids asking about what to major in college, while the rest bash on black people because they are too insecure about their iqs.

I've seen many screen-shots of high scores.

And this is the problem. You assumed wrongly.

What does that have to do with high scores? They're confused about life choices

I could be wrong about this. I don't have a ton of competence in this area. I'd like to discuss this more with you, and also open to some data.

Intelligence and 'wisdom'(is this the correct term), are obviously separate categories, but you'd expect to see a higher correlation. Yes?

I'd not call it wisdom, maybe maturity, you'd expect more maturity here than say other emotionally charged boards.

I for one, have an iq of three billion. Surely no other society comes even close to our average.
Fucking idiot

Board is full of kikes who misdirect and subvert discussion.

Even if this board actually has above average iq, high IQ doesn't correlate with social skills, like accepting that other people might have different opinions than you do. And besides, iq functions like dick size or height, except for incels that realized they're never going to reproduce.

Scores achieved with online IQ tests don't mean much, and even an intelligent kid is still just a stupid kid. IQ isn't a replacement for wisdom gained through life experience.

Stupid boomer cope. It depends on what you’re doing, but I can always gain more experience. There are obstacles that no amount of experience can overcome though. You can teach mostly anyone topology, the only ones who would advance the field are genius level mathematicians.

It's the brainlet filter. Brainlets stick to the bait threads while the smart Chads can hide and discuss in other threads.

/sci/ is an interesting place, in one spectrum we have people like Perelman posting (yes he posted here in 2012), and in the other we have Tooker.

The quality of posts/posters seems to have declined quite a bit the last few months. I remeber nearly every post used to make my head hurt.

IMO, intelligence quotient is not highly correlated with intelligence. Feynman's IQ was 120? Yeah, ok. That means I'm supposed to think Helene's MENSA qualifying but non-genius IQ makes her smarter that Richard Feynman? Ok!
