the key is to visit any vertex, you have to go into it and out of it (except the first and last vertex).

you added another door between 2 of the 3 rooms with an odd number of doors, effectively reducing the number of odd-number-of-door rooms to 1, which makes the puzzle possible. mapping the image to a torus doesn't allow you to do that. it only allows you to wrap between the top/bottom and left/right of the image.

the point still stands: except for the first and last rooms/vertexes, when you visit a room/vertex, you have to pass through an even number of (as of yet unused) doors/edges. thus, if your puzzle/graph has more than 2 rooms with an odd number of doors, ur fckt, no solution
