Does anyone else find themselves taking an interest in another subject whilst studying STEM at uni?
Is this bad?
Like can i read sophocles while i do a physics degree or will it get in the way?

I did exactly that. You'll be fine.

Idk if architecture is really stem, but during uni I developed a lot of other interests that I might have pursued instead if I had not been born into a family of successful architects with an established office.
In the end, you should study what you're passionate about and what makes you happy.

No, I am sorry. You have to pigeonhole your interests into one particular topic and devote your entire life to it. You cannot have interests.

Yes. I recently started reading Thucydides and I have also been looking into ways to develop my strategical thinking. I also have been trying to develop mathematical models for markets which is odd since I was never interested in econonics before and my major is in something completely different. I think it happens because people like things untill they are forced to do them (unless you really love a subject). Now that you have to study for the things that you like, they stop being interests and you need to find new ones, so you fall back to the things you were kinda but not that much interested in before. It's ok though, you get to explore other things as well and become a more universal person.
