Not all of the blame on the protest but from my group of coworkers it's about half. The rest wanted to hang out with friends and party. Needless to say, I know of a bunch who are sick due to covid. Young people can't handle social isolation and do dumb stuff. This is in texas.

The funny part is where the media insisted over and over again that it was ok because they were all wearing pieces of tissue on their faces. I've yet to see one riot photo where everyone has on a mask. Nor have I seen one "peaceful protest" photo without someone touching their mask and others without their noses uncovered.

nah it's not because of the protests
It is because of me, I have taken a fetish of sneezing and coughing covid to every person in the us.
I'm literally travelling in my 2009 sedan around the us to the most populated cities and i just go cough discretely to people so that they spread the virus easily. i mean, i can give 12.34% of the fault to both the protestors and the guys who avoid taking measures but i am confident that i am singlehandedly destroying the us

Probably weekly trends in reporting. Weekends see lows since fewer tests are being conducted and fewer reports are made. Those cases get pushed to early and mid of the following week.

Both, probably. People won't be diagnosed until around a week after they were exposed, and average length of time from initial symptoms to death according to the CDC is 18.5 days.

With that said, it's possible a lot of the new cases are younger people who took advantage of the states opening, so perhaps we won't see the expected amount of deaths. Immunity should also be improving thanks to increased humidity and more sunlight. Honestly, it would probably be better to have it right now than next winter.

Average time of death is 18.5 days from the time of first symptoms in the USA. Better immunity in the summer may curb some deaths despite increased cases, but we need to at least get through the first week of July before making that judgment.

Well, how are we going to stop people from protesting having to wear masks? They don't like it.
