Neat hypothesis. Again, why? I mean really, are you serious? Not just developed once but many times? Tor what reason? What caused this convergent evolution? The rest of the world did the whole animal husbandry thing long before Europe, all lactose intolerant.

Nope, sorry anon, not going to cut it. I think there's a lot more to this. For example, the various forms of melanin are not trivial changes, melanin is highly electromagnetically sensitive. Take melanin in the eye, when such an animal is exposed to power frequency ELF fields in the presence of light, even dim red light, a suppression of melatonin synthesis occurs. This is absent in albino animals and blue eyed people. Thus, apparently, melanin is required for ELF field transduction. Hence neuromelanin, perhaps.

The hair and eye colour differences are very likely sexually selected when they pop up. But since they are recessive genes, they only pop up when there's a lot of inbreeding.

Large size is due to the winter. A smaller body loses heat faster than a large body due to the surface area to volume ratio. The Mongol Khans were massive by their standards.

Europe is not special, they were just the closest to the Americas.

To an extent. On the Russian side they're far more dark Asian and native American. New Zealand doesn't really count because I personally think their history and architecture makes no sense and shouldn't exist. There was also extensive migration by seafaring tribes.

This still isn't explaining why they pop up and gain precedence to begin with.

Not really. Fat distribution and capillary size and distribution is more related to temperature. I guess I would need to see polar bears bred for at least 3 generations near the equator. Many animals living in the arctic are not large, not all thermal management adaptations are strictly a matter of scale. It doesn't really matter anyway, experiments have been done exposing animals to the south pole of a magnetic field and they do grow very large.
