Are there any STEM disciplines that that dont require interacting with people? I want to do research without it.

No, science is a collaborative field and peer reviewed research by definition needs to be shared and discussed with your colleagues.

Yes.
>I want to do research without it.
Well, nevermind lmao. Research is a collaborative process, and you will get next to nowhere without coauthors and interacting with your advisor.

Sorry anon

Do you know why they like to stick you in dorms? Cause socializing is good and you need to learn how to do it

Some of the obscure math. I think the guy who did bounded prime gaps worked alone.

Jesus fucking christ since when did 4chan become so normie infested?

>durrrr human interaction is normie ahahaha
Shut up retard, this isn't 'normie' this is basic human interaction needed for science.

math but you have to interact with people when learning how to do research ( PhD, postdoc).

>Forgets every autistic genius that worked alone.
>Your brain on group work

The greatest scientific achievements were accomplished by autists that cared more about their field than human interaction.

You can clearly see how conformism in East Asian countries has throttled scientific production given that they have lower levels of macro innovations (as shown in Nobel prize winners) despite a higher average IQ.

If you don't want to interact with people whatsoever, self teach the STEM discipline, then do independent research. With the rise of the internet, it's entirely possible learn without a university. Any text book you can pirate, any forum can answer your question, any research paper and any information; you can find it.

Unfortunately, the scientific community has adopted the fallacious position of basing the quality of someones research on their character and how much time they wasted on a degree rather than the research itself. The normies would be correct in saying that it'd be hard for them to take you seriously. You'd almost certainly have to be a very high achiever indeed.

Ecology, maybe if you focus on arctic or deep-sea systems. However, you'll still have to interact with collaborators, reviewers/editors, and people at conferences.

Learn to code, and don’t be a project manager. I barely talk to anyone.
