Only on launch, and only because of the solid rocket boosters. It's their only saving grace and not worth their other sins.
On paper it gets less mass to TLI and to LEO than Saturn V did in reality. Starship is even more powerful than SLS, and does it (on paper, both rockets (Super Heavy, not Starship) are still on paper) with high ISP liquid engines instead of relying on low ISP, dirty, dangerous solids
