Fine then. Spend the rest of your days looking down into the dirt while the ones with real ambition look up to the stars.

Yes NASA, a government funded organisation and SpaceX, that only survived due to government contracts, are amazing examples of capitalism!

They're doing fine. I talked to one of them today and he said to me in communist russian that they remembered when they put the first person in the moon. Very proud that a capitalist backed venture finally accomplished it several decades later.

Real capitalism still hasn't done it. American government tax dollar funded ventures are not capitalism.

Your idea of "importance" only seems to stretch to present day society. Science is the only true permanence to human progress, it trancends societies, cultures, and eras. When an Empire falls, all that remain is the inventions it bore forth, much of human knowledge today bear homage to the day of the ancient Greeks and Babylonians, and when it comes to space travel, that might serve as a crucial part to preserving humanity as a species if and when the day comes when this earth can no longer sustain life.

Think of it like putting money in your retirement fund, it might feel like a waste now but you'll be goddamn happy you did the day you can no longer work. (US people might not be able to relate since you live in a 3rd world country without proper societal infrastructure)

Reparations? You got your reparations and then some from food stamps and every other government assistance program you chimps need to shit out scores of baby chimps. You apes should pay the rest of the world reparations for being biological weapons of mass destruction and turning every place you back into the stone age

There's a very weird irony that always shows itself time and time again running in this world. We see that America has basically circled back into a performance of soviet totalitarianism and grim living conditions. Americans started the idea of scientific management and Taylorism, which the soviets expanded further with the stereotypical factory quotas and grand plans, now coming back to America with electronic productivity surveillance, sales targets, and roadmaps. There's a lot more to be said about the money going into the pockets of the powerful, the police state that we've effectively come under with the pandemic lock down and the police brutality. The incessant data collection and spying on all of us. The crappy Boeing plane that crashed twice. And the riots that keep happening.

America was founded on a invisible hand/ Roman Republic ideology. Power has slowly creeped into the governments hands and has led to what you describe.
