GUYS! Explain this to me please, My calculator says -2*-2=4 (obviously), why does it say -2^2 = -4?

Order of operations.

Exponents come before negative signs (which is implicitly -1*number of choice).

Try using parentheses.

because you didn't put the -2 to in paranthesis. The calculator was correct, -2^4=-4.
